Welcoming Winter Lips

Clinique Chubby Stick Intense - £17 | Clinique
Firstly, let me just apologize as I have been MIA for a while and my blog has become a little neglected, not that I don't think about it each time I purchase some new beauty bits. Since my last post I have accumulated quite a few handfuls of make-up and skincare products which left me with the question 'What do I blog about first?'. Since the temperature has dropped to a degree which sees me throwing on a jacket when I leave the house and my skin feeling drier then usual I think it is only fair to say that Winter is well and truly on its way, and much to my delight so is Winter make-up!

One of the biggest trends we see each year with A/W make-up is a vampy lip, and boy oh boy do I love it! Originally I was going to purchase the cult classic vampy lipstick; Mac Rebel, but after a little browse I found the colour of Rebel mixed with the formula and application of the Clinique Intense Chubby Sticks in Grandest Grape. Before I go any further I will just state that the colour of this is a lot darker than in the picture and not so bright and pinky, the awful daylight got the better of me when capturing the true colour of this.

If you haven't tried out the Clinique Chubby sticks then they are incredibly light on the lips and easy to wear as well as taking a few seconds just to swipe over the lips. The cold weather makes my skin much more dry than usual and especially my lips, but wearing this my lips feel completely hydrated throughout the day, allowing my lips to look pretty and moisturised. I refuse to have chapped lips. The finish of these are slightly glossy and the colour is buildable which makes is easier to wear it in the daytime through to the evening.

Because the colour is so gorgeous and the formula is infallible I can see this becoming a favourite of mine for the lips this year. I also have another lipstick which is a perfect A/W neutral which I shall blog about soon. Which colours are you loving this year to incorporate into your make-up? Also let me know if there is any other Chubby Stick colours I should get.

Lastly, thank you to you who continue to read my blog and I am now back, ready and raring to go with lots more posts... I promise!
