Brand Spotlight: L'Occitane

Over the Christmas period I was working at a L'Occitane Boutique, if you have ever visited one then you will know how pretty and calming they are compared to shopping in larger department stores which become completely chaotic at that particular time of year. Not only was it a joy to work in such a surrounding but I also had the pleasure of testing out many products; quickly followed by the displeasure of a decreasing bank balance.

L'Occitane are very well known for their infamous Shea Butter Hand Cream which I adore, so I quickly picked up the Shea Butter Foot Cream which I hoped would mirror the results of the hand cream onto my feet. It doesn't disappoint; baby soft, nourished feet with all signs of dry skin vanished. Result! Another popular product within the collections is the Almond Shower Oil which is a delight to use. It goes onto the skin as a luxurious oil which quickly thickens up to a milky texture; hydrating the skin and leaving a beautiful sweet subtle almond scent lingering on your body. Top tip: works wonders paired with a razor on your legs.

Now lets get down to business with the skincare side of things. Firstly, Immortelle Precious Night Cream, easily the best night-time moisturiser I have ever used. Rich enough to hydrate my skin with no signs of breakouts (something I am always cautious of). Its target is to correct wrinkles and improve firmness, it ticks all boxes for the latter but luckily I have no wrinkles which yet need to be filled. Fingers crossed my future skin will thank me. Shea Fabulous Serum is an extra step I like adding into my night routine. The hyaluronic acid helps my skin look more plump and healthy whilst the serums formula leaves a silky soft texture.

Lastly is a lovely trio from the La Collection de Grasse in the scent Magnolia & Mure. There are so many beautiful scents in this collection but this is the one that stood out to me with the deep blackberry notes adding to the silky scent. Each of the product formulas make it perfect for layering the scent which I find myself doing far too often. Think musky meets fruity.

Believe me when I say there is still a lot more products I have my eyes on getting, but for me these are the best of the bunch. Whether you're after body care, scent, or skincare- they've got it covered. Let me know what you're favourite L'Occitane products are or if like me you've got a bit of collection going.

  1. I love L'Occitane! I really like their Cherry Blossom line... the scent is quite delicate and not as overwhelming as some.
