Covent Garden British Beauty Box

Burberry is an iconic brand, one that I admire for their timeless and high quality clothing and accessories; but I had not yet delved into the beauty side of the brand. That was bound to change. I found myself in the Burberry Beauty Box a few weeks back. You're instantly transported into the world of Burberry; surrounded by bright lights, high tech, new launches and charming staff to take you away from the chaotic Covent Garden.

After fueling up on Maxwells milkshake and cocktails I was in ultimate shopping mode with all parts of my body crossed that the out-of-stock-everywhere shade Pale Barley eyeshadow was there waiting for me to come and scoop it up. It turned out it was my lucky day... and worth the wait! It goes without saying that the packaging is perfection, but the texture itself is so soft and buttery. The shade? A natural soft golden glow which leave you feeling put together with just one sweep blended all over.

The name 'Wet and Dry Silk Eyeshadow' says it all.

Have you got your eyes on the miniatures? Of course you have - and they're completely complimentary!

The tiny 1g Burberry Kisses lipstick is in the shade 'Nude Beige'. A very Kate Moss shade.

Their latest fragrance launch, My Burberry is one that I've had lingering on my mind to try - inspired by the iconic trench coat, it truly captures the floral notes of London Gardens after the rain. Imagine a dazzling bouquet of fresh roses and patchouli. I was beyond grateful to receive a small bottle as a thank you for my purchases - and if you ask nicely, they will monogram your initials on the full size bottle to make it Your Burberry.

Now for a little heads up - if you are going to the beauty box, make sure you allow plenty of time! The digital nail and lip bar allows you to try on any of the shades to see what is best suited to your skin tone, all without a single wet-wipe used. The result of this trivial fun ? Two lipsticks. One of which is from their new Burberry Kisses and has been worn on a daily basis ever since. English Rose is a buildable deep pink which works as a my lips but better kinda' shade.

English Rose paired with Pale Barley creates one of my favourite sophisticated makeup looks.

For a S/S lip colour I opted for Honey Suckle from the Lip Velvet range. Matte, pigmented and creamy... and so, so dreamy! A warm, vibrant coral with a healthy amount of pink. This dabbed into the lips gives a healthy and radiant finish or apply straight from the bullet for a stronger statement lip. Both ways gorgeous for summer!

I'm hooked on Burberry Beauty! The effortless finish it gives, plush packaging and on-trend colour palettes are undeniably addictive. What's next that I need to try?
