The Go-To-Nude

After sorting through my nail varnish collection and *weeps* throwing away some not too fresh looking ones, I made the decision that it was time to go on a bit of a lacquer spree. Having been well aware of the fact that I had some Boots points built up and an old love affair with Ballet Slippers and Bordeux, I headed to Essie where I found my new nude (bet you can't say that ten times in a row), Mademoiselle

I don't need to go into the formula of an Essie nail varnish, we get the drill - they're worth the price (and hype!). Still one thing that astounds me each and every time is the array of colours to choose from - it might just take you a lunch hour to find the perfect milky pink shade; which is exactly what this is. Clean, sharp and chic.

Due to the sheer tone to this shade, it takes some building up, I took my time and layered three coats but one coat of this will leave a natural, healthy finish to the nails.

For anyone who works in an industry where colourful nails at work is a no-go, or maybe just likes the simple look, then this is the nude to go to!

Now, just to find enough fingers and toes to justify another round of lacquer shopping...

Love a nude but as you say they always take a good few coats to look good on me, and then I usually go and smudge it just as I'm about to walk out the door!
