It's safe to say that I'm getting my scrub on, and there are currently three pots of the stuff I'm alternating between in the shower; one from Ted Baker, one from & Other Stories and the newbie to group, Soap & Glory. Two (or three) times a week I like to have a deep clean and exfoliate all over to remove dead skin and leave my body soft and smooth.
Ted Baker Butterfly Wings Body
This is the most delicate of the three, in both areas of scrub and smell. The formula is very thick in the pot, and when it's on the skin it feels more of a thick in-shower cream than scrub as it rubs onto the skin instead of ridding the dead skin. Perhaps best for people who like a mild scrub. The fragrance is floral with hints of red fruit and patchouli- the smell lingers with you all day which is lovely and not overpowering.
& Other Stories Moroccan Tea Body Scrub
After having just used this for the first time this morning I am thoroughly impressed and still sniffing my skin... the smell is addictive! When I went to & Other Stories in Regent Street I picked up this Moroccan Tea Body Scrub, I am now regretting not buying all products available in this smell. It's zingy, fresh and will not fail to wake you up in the morning. The scrub itself is made up from lots of small sugar grains which scrub with ease, it then foams up a little bit into a hydrating lava to leave your skin super soft.
Soap & Glory - The Breakfast Scrub
Lastly, my first Soap & Glory purchase; The Breakfast Scrub. After reading just one post on this I popped it on the ever-growing wish list... and used it as an excuse to go to Boots. The new maple fragrance is extremely satisfying, but not as strong as I anticipated. The scrub is also a lovely consistency which works well on the skin to get rid of all the bad stuff, replaced with sweet smelling skin. The Breakfast Scrub has Oats, Shea Butter, almond and honey extract... the list of goodness goes on. I think this scrub will be a favourite in the cold winter months.
The one that proved best for me is the & Other stories... closely followed by The Breakfast Scrub. There is something about the Moroccan Tea smell that ticks all the right boxes. I may still be smelling myself. Have you tried any of these scrubs?
