Mix-and-Match Haircare

To my surprise this post has turned in to somewhat of a empty's product review. When getting snap happy I realized that they're feeling a little on the light side and squeezing the product out was becoming a task in itself; this isn't because you need masses of the stuff, but because I become completely oblivious (and a little forgetful) that all products come to an end.

With that said, I don't remember how many months ago I purchased these, but what I do know is that they have been keeping my scalp and hair in check ever-since! I've never payed much attention to using matching shampoo and conditioner, but they're the same brand so that counts right?

Without getting into too much detail I have a a fairly problematic scalp, one minute it's fine - the next it's sore and dry, and it just to happens that I was having one of the latter days when visiting the hairdresser who then recommended the Redken Scalp Relief Shampoo. It felt like I was reborn with a new set of locks. It does what it says on the bottle with almost immediate effect. Calming and hydrating, leaving your hair soft, lightweight and flake-free. With this one I really like to lather it up and leave it for a few minutes whilst it works its magic on the scalp. If you suffer from a bit of an itchy scalp then give this one a go.

Onto the conditioner, this is actually my second bottle of the stuff after changing from Bumble and Bumble - not only will Redken All Soft Conditioner save you a few pounds but it's just as effective and hydrating as other high-end hair-care. The scent will leave you feeling like you've just had a blow-dry at the salon, something we all love and would fantasize over every time our hair needs a good wash! The textures thick and clings to hair whilst it carries out its mission, but doesn't weigh the hair down once dry - only sleek, shiny hair with this one. Overall, a fantastic creamy, dreamy conditioner.

I do like to dabble with my hair-care, but these two are firm favourites and always on a good offer somewhere - who doesn't like a bargain?!

  1. I've always heard big things about Redken products so I wasn't surprised you gave them a good review. The scalp relief shampoo sounds really good and who doesn't want that blow dry feeing after a good wash? Great post :-). Kat xx
