Monthly Favourites | May

Another month has passed and some products have become very popular. Quite a lot of shopping happened in the month of May (probably due to the lack of sun), and a lot of potential future monthly favourites. This months favourites are an odd bunch, with hardly any make-up or skincare to be seen... something I thought I would never see.

The non-beauty item is a Yankee Candle in the scent Birthday Cupcake, a gorgeous and cosy scent which fills up your room within 5 minutes. I received this on my birthday (hint being a 'Happy Birthday' candle) but I still find myself lighting this up to get a vanilla fix. I also want to try the Red Velvet and Strawberry Buttercream... can you tell I like sweet smells?

Next up is a bit of random favourite; Kleenex - Shine Absorbing Sheets. I have always found my skin to be more dry than oily, but after packing up my skin with as much moisture as I can whilst I sleep, I find the latter to be more of the problem. After picking up a packet of these in Sainsbury's I find that they take away any oil needed from my t-zone without taking foundation as well. A great bargain buy.

A nice little hand treatment that I got free in a Marie Claire a few months back is the Neals Yard Save the Bees hand cream. It contains organic honey and energising orange essential oil which both work together to create a highly moisturized hand which is not at all greasy. The smell is divine, you can really smell the orange coming through and a sweetness from the honey which wakes you up. It is a little sticky a first (maybe the honey?) but it soon absorbs to leave a soft hand.

Another freebie that I am reaping the rewards from is an Avon Brow Glimmer Stick Brow Definer - my first Avon product. I find the colour too light for my brows, but the stick is dainty to create hair-like strokes. However I find this perfect to do eyeliner above the eyelid and under the waterline, it's not so harsh as black and blends easily for a bit of definition to the eye.

Lastly is a favourite from May's Glossybox; Awapuhi Wild Ginger Shine Spray. I have never heard of this brand before but the conditioning element of this spray was most appealing to me. I spray it onto dry hair and it makes my hair super soft and it smell lovely! I don't find it drying or sticky, it adds a little shine but a great daily touch to get silky hair.

That's it for this months favourites... now I can have a nose around everyone else's which is probably my favourite part of the months ending! Feel free to comment and let me know your thoughts, thank you for reading.

Ps. Just a quick thank you to anyone and everyone who reads and follows my blog, if you enjoy my posts I would really appreciate it if you followed me on Bloglovin (button to the right of the page) thank you. X

  5. I just finished an Avon gel eyeliner glimmerstick pencil. It was so good and was just like a gel liner but easier to apply!
