A Beginners Kit For Getting Fit

Crave More Exercise was where I let you all in on my new fitness adventure, the environment I feel free to get my sweat on, why I'm getting fit and how I'm starting off the journey.

However, what I didn't tell you though is how it all began.

I was having my daily browse of ASOS when I stumbled across a pair of trainers - trainers I hear you cry? I'm not the biggest fan either, but these sky blue Nikes had me head over heels (or in this case, flats).

Turns out, the only way I could justify adding them to my basket was to devote myself to a new fitness regime.

I caught the trainer bug, had a spring in my step and felt better for it - but then it spiraled to all forms of sportswear, so here's my beginners kit for getting fit.

Being a bigger busted lady I knew it was important to get the right support to stop all my bits jiggling about whilst running - this helps prevent pulling ligaments whilst running, but also not getting hit in the face by our boobs (not a great look), After discussing with friends and searching the web I found a non-wired, extra high impact number from M&S (similar) Classic black with a fun little design, the zip on the front helps balance things out easier. I would happily wear a sports bra all day, everyday - why did nobody tell me they're so comfy?

A fitness app is crucial. I've gone for Runtastic which helps me keep track of distance, burned calories, all the usual things and the novelty of showing where you have ran and where your heart beat increased - something which makes me very happy.

I have to feel hydrated before and after a jog, which is where O.R.S Rehydration Tablets come in. Yes water is the main thing you need to be focusing on, but adding a couple of these into your drinks will add essential minerals which can help balance your bodies fluid, this is so that it doesn't all flush through you and you feel the benefits of staying hydrated. I'll also be popping a travel tube of these into my luggage for hot climates.

Music and leggings wise is where it all comes to personal preference - for myself I like the M&S breathable leggings (what is it with me and blue at the moment?), and no one can deny the motivation that Beyonce can bring.

Sportswear seems to be a whole other world - what helps you to get out of the house for some exercise?

Hey Olivia! A great post and I'll definitely be researching those ORS tablets. Sometimes for me, adding in a few new (or favourite) songs onto my iPod can really make me want to go running!
