Florabellio

One whiff of this and I was transported from the elaborate halls of Liberty, beautifully draped with meters upon meters of the finest printed scarves, to a sparkling Italian orchard filled with fruit, flowers and happiness.

Neither of which I would protest to.

After a day filled with food and art, I indulged once more and left the city with a new fragrance, a big smile and lighter pockets.

Apples Blossom and Osmanthus are the top notes of Diptyque's newest fragrance: Florabellio, which give an uplifting burst of fruity freshness with the touch of sea-salt. Similar to one of my favourites, Jo Malone Wood Sage & Sea Salt - the tangy saltiness intrigues the senses and makes it all more the unique.

Once the freshness has softened, you're led to warmer notes; roasted coffee, toasted sesame and bitter sea fennel. Quite the contrast. The fresh saltiness lingers to reveal the sensual combination "between land and sea, flower and fruit, softness and bitterness".

Florabellio is my first Diptque fragrance, but it was love at first spritz. Each scent tells a beautiful story which is captured by the artwork on the bottle.

The lasting power of this on my skin is impressive for a more floral fragrance (which have usually disappeared after a few hours) but I still catch myself getting hits of this at the end of the day, which is perfect as this is a beautiful evening fragrance for the Summer!

Just in-case that hasn't tickled your fancy and you're more into scarves than you are fragrances, have a peek at this.

Get down to Liberty and feast your eyes upon this in person, and whilst your there you may have a smell of the new Dyptique... would could be better?
