Review | Jo Malone Vetyver

Jo Malone Vetyver Cologne 30ml - £37 here

Say hello to my first perfume review and my second bottle of Jo Malone; Vetyver. If you haven't been to a Jo Malone shop then let me tell you the black and cream interior with beautiful displays are as luxurious as the product range. My first scent I purchased was Nectarine Blossom and Honey which smells fresh and summery which instantly brightens your day (mentioned in a previous favourites.) As lovely as that is I went on the hunt for a little more sophisticated scent which can take me from day to evening.

Vetyver; a Jo Malone scent I wasn't familiar with. I would say it took me a good thirty minutes before finally deciding on this one... and putting the lovely shop assistant out of waiting. Down to the smell- at first it's a fresh citrus smell which quickly sets on the skin revealing spicy, woody base notes. Jo Malone states that Vetyver has Nutmeg, Bergamot and Cederwood, but defiantly smell it before you make up your mind. A good positive I have noticed about this one is that it lasts on the skin a lot longer than the Nectarine Blossom and Honey- nobody wants to pay out for a perfume with no longevity.

Overall it's more of a mature scent but one that I love for the evening and probably in the Winter months too! The presentation of perfume bottle is a reason alone to buy yourself a Jo Malone treat (anyone else notice the slight green tint of this one?) Does this sound like scent you would like? Let me know if you have any favourites.

  3. I bought my first Jo Malone a few months ago and it was Blackberry and Bay. I love it and wear it everyday! I went back in about a week ago and smelled Vetyver and knew it would be my next purchase, it's the perfect winter scent!
