Second Best To Mums Roast

I think we can all agree that a post is well overdue, but rather than feeling guilty and bore you with details as to where weekly updates have been I thought I would get stuck into one of the topics that excites me the most: food.

My favourite season, Autumn, is slowing coming to an end. The golden leaves are vastly vanishing and the Winter chill is creeping in - however one of the highlights us Brits gain when it comes to Winter is the classic Roast. You're mad if you don't love them.

Last Of The Summer Picnics

I was determined to squeeze one more picnic in before this Summer draws to a close.

It just so happens that the talented Karen organised a little photography shindig with a group of fellow Cambridge bloggers and keen photographers.

After arriving late, I quickly found a spot next to some familiar faces: EmmaAlice and Claire, and unpacked my unworthy picnic of cherry toms, Parma ham and crusty bread.

Hungry Eyes In Norwich

After an hours road-trip we arrived in Norwich; a very gloomy, rainy Norwich.

But the weather wasn't going to stop my sister and I from celebrating one of her special birthdays.

Time To Rebalance

Everyday life can become a little hectic now and again; trying to fit a hundred tasks into one day whilst still allowing time to enjoy yourself and relax can be a struggle. Continuous busy days result in time flying by and before you know it you're nearly in September... how?

There is one thing that I find helps to stop getting lost in the stress and chaos, bring my mind back to the moment and focus on myself: a pamper evening is never overrated.

L'Occitane are a brand which are helping with this, having launched a new Rebalancing Ritual to their

Get It While You Can: Tilbury X Parkinson

Collaborations aren't something I tend to be overly fussed about - with one exception, the brand that entices me into each and every product and launch...

I know I'm not the only one on the Tilbury train.

Breakfast At Novi

Cambridge is evolving.

My list of places to try in and around the city seems to be constantly growing with a range of openings for restaurants and coffee shops - the latest being Novi who bring a different style of dining: small plates and botanical cocktails promote 'Thoughtful Food & Drink'.

However, I'm not here to talk about lunch or dinner (mainly as I'm yet to experience it) but instead, the most important meal of the day, breakfast.

Juniper Sling

We are all familiar with fragrance wardrobes: a personal selection of scents we build to suit our moods and to remind us of memories.

For me, this has been extended into the shower room where a whole new shower-gel wardrobe is growing: choices for morning 'til night, relaxing or revitalizing, and I've just found the true winner to fill the spot for indulgence.

Race For Life: I Did It

Blogging and fitness have both gone downhill in the past few weeks, with the obvious excuse being lack of time, but the truth is I lost motivation for a small duration. Accepting how you feel and giving yourself time is the best thing to do sometimes, which was exactly what was needed before the big event.

Before I get to the 10K itself, there has been a huge impact that fitness has brought to a part of me;

Lunchtime Cocktails, Afternoon Views

A leisurely day in London is always a treat, and my latest trip was no exception.

Emily and I headed straight over to the backs of Regent Street, scurrying along in the scorching heat to Soho, to the home of the infamous 'Press For Champagne' button...

A Morning With Pinterest

Last Monday was a gloriously sunny morning in Cambridge.

As beautiful as the city is glistening in the sun, it was the plans for the day which had put the spring into my step; a morning date with fellow Cambridge bloggers and Pinterest - who can turn that down?

Lizzie is everything you would expect from Pinterest - cool, easy-going and interesting! The whole meeting flew by, but I continued to pick her brains over lunch.

Monthly Favourites | Summer Edition

If you're a regular Crave More Beauty reader then you will be well aware that I don't do a favourites post on a monthly basis.

I like to save it for when I've got something special up my sleeve, and to explode them all on a monthly favourites - full of exciting products!

I have recently noticed my blusher collection growing rapidly and Kiko Tri-bal Soul Baked Blush is the latest addition (Lisa Eldridge used it in a tutorial, so it must be good).

An Afternoon At Burwash Manor

They do say all good things come in three... so here we go, third lifestyle post in a row - and it just so happens to be my favourite of them all.

Last week my mother, sister and I (along with the beautiful little Rose that is my niece) made a mini mid-week adventure to the outskirts of Cambridge, to Burwash Manor, where we were greeted by tranquility, sunshine and the sound of birds singing.

Wasabi Comes To Cambridge

Over the last few weeks I have managed to build up all possible sushi cravings, safely tucked away in the back of my mind, until Wednesday evening when I let all wants and needs for teriyaki run wild at the pre-opening event for the Japanese pit-stop, Wasabi - a highly anticipated and exciting launch for Cambridge.

Wasabi has only ever meant one thing to me, a quick Katsu curry on the train home from Kings Cross; it may be the most comforting dish to eat after a long day of walking and pollution, but it also strongly scents the whole carriage making me the victim of a few eye-rolls and looks of annoyance... one mouthful and I know it's worth it.

Espresso Library, Cambridge

Yesterday morning is what us Brits call a typical Summers day in England: humid, rainy and gloomy.

These days call for one thing - friends, coffee and brunch. So, I peeled myself away from the warmth of my duvet and headed into Cambridge where I found all three things at the cafe hotspot, Espresso Library.

Bronzing Becca

It's the same story every Summer - fresh dewy bronzed skin, bold brows, simple eyes and a bright lip.

Okay, so I admit sometimes I skip the bright lip for a soft pink (I still can't get that Burberry shade off of my lips), but the bronzed skin is always in play with a little help from my latest Space NK spree.

Six Weeks Passed, Six Weeks To Go

This morning I woke to an email alarming me of the fact that I now only have six weeks to go until my first charitable run, Race For Life.

Last time I checked I had two months - where did those two weeks go? I can't decide if it's the 10K run or the quick loss of time that's frightening me more.

It's been a while since my last fitness post where I was only just beginning, since then I've been feeling stronger and gaining more with my body every time I step out of the house (top knot, trainers and SPF being the essentials).

Florabellio

One whiff of this and I was transported from the elaborate halls of Liberty, beautifully draped with meters upon meters of the finest printed scarves, to a sparkling Italian orchard filled with fruit, flowers and happiness.

Neither of which I would protest to.

After a day filled with food and art, I indulged once more and left the city with a new fragrance, a big smile and lighter pockets.

Summer Skincare Staples

If there's a brand that does it skincare wise for me, it's L'Occitane. Probably not a brand you see everyday on your Bloglovin' feed - but for me they're always bringing out new and innovative products which get me excited for skincare.

With the weather warming up, my Winter regime was becoming too rich for my skin which has stopped battling with cold winds everyday. So, the hunt for a new day cream began...

and it just so happened that a beautiful serum was added in the mix too.

A Beginners Kit For Getting Fit

Crave More Exercise was where I let you all in on my new fitness adventure, the environment I feel free to get my sweat on, why I'm getting fit and how I'm starting off the journey.

However, what I didn't tell you though is how it all began.

I was having my daily browse of ASOS when I stumbled across a pair of trainers - trainers I hear you cry? I'm not the biggest fan either, but these sky blue Nikes had me head over heels (or in this case, flats).

Borough Market | Exploring London

Foodie: a person having an enthusiastic interest in the preparation and consumption of good food.

Hands up for anyone who fits that description -anybody? It certainly sums my friend Keighley and I up pretty damn well. After discovering a day we both had free, we penciled in a date for Borough Market: a glorious food market with delicacies from all around the world. You name it, they've got it.
